This course, built on flat terrain, features medium-sized greens. Water hazards come into play on three holes, plus sand and grass bunkers have been incorporated into the course design. Pete Dye redesigned the course in 1978. The 5,683-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 70.3 and a slope of 124. The 5,183-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 67.7 and slope of 120.
GolfDelray Dunes Golf and Country Club offers one of the best-conditioned courses in South Florida, a Pete Dye designed course first opened on December 1, 1969. Mr. Dye has helped us keep the course up to date over the years. The superb 18-hole championship course suits our members perfectly. Golfers love the open access to the tee and the fact that it's always easy to get a game. A round of golf generally takes less than 3 ˝ hours. The practice facility is close to the 1st and 10th tees. There is a full-swing practice tee with target greens, a short game area with three target greens and a bunker, and a large putting green. Our senior tour professional, Bob Murphy, resides on the property and often uses the practice area when he is not playing on tour or announcing
Fitness Each of the two air-conditioned exercise rooms has a wall-mounted integrated TV/VCR, so while exercising you can watch your favorite program on one of the provided workout videos. The cardiovascular room has Sports Art regular and low impact exercise bicycles and computerized treadmills that automatically monitor and display your pulse rate. The weight training room has a full selection of handheld weights and Quantum weight-resistance exercise machines. Private training is available for those new to the equipment.
